iPhone made Waterproof by Liquipel Without a Case

We all know that iPhone and water don’t mix with dire consequences. We all do try to protect our precious devices from any form of damages by putting them in protective casing of any form. This however does not do justice to the devices, adding extra weight, bulk and ruining the aesthetic took of the device.

Now there are at least a protection from water damages. Liquipel, the company that lay claims that they can waterproof  devices without the use of any waterproof casing.  They use a special “nano” coating that they bond inside and out the device which makes it water resistant. This allows the device not only a splash but be submerged in water as demonstrated  in the video with an iPhone 4S.

The down side is that it will cost $59 and that it has to be sent off to Liquipel for 1 - 2 day to be made waterproof. This however  might be a little pricey but  could possibly save you hundreds for repair.

The iPhone by all mean is supported, but hopefully in the future the company can work directly with manufacturer so that Liquipel could be applied on the product during manufacturing process, so that the device is waterproof when bought as standard.
